What I Offer

Therapy for all ages, honoring your unique journey.

Individual Play-Based Therapy (ages 4-10)

For children, play is the language of healing. In a child-centered play therapy approach, children are treated as the experts on themselves, & use play to aid in exploring & processing their experiences. It is a mostly non-directive approach, much like Person-Centered/Rogerian therapy. I also use Sandtray-Worldplay to help clients of all ages process trauma.

Child-centered play is most commonly used with children up to 10. However, play therapy techniques can be used for healing at any age.

I am currently pursuing my Registered Play Therapist credential & I use play therapy techniques under the supervision of a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor.

Therapy sessions for young children take place in-person only at my office in Walker, Michigan.

Individual Talk Therapy

For adolescents & adults, I provide individual talk-based therapy. In-person therapy is available for all ages, & telehealth therapy for most individuals ages 14+.

I believe that the person in front of me is the best expert on themselves & their stories, & I view my role as a collaborator. My approach is primarily Rogerian/ Person-Centered, with elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Radical Feminist Theory, & Mindfulness-based approaches. I also often use Sandtray-Worldplay with clients of all ages to help process trauma.

Therapy sessions take place at my office in Walker, Michigan or via telehealth for individuals across Michigan.

I provide psychological evaluations through Mendez CAPS & Rooted Immigrant Support Services for individuals pursuing Asylum, VAWA, U-Visa, T-Visa, and 601 waivers or cancellations of removal. These evaluations can be powerful factors in an immigration case. Psychological evaluations are not available to current or former therapy clients.

Immigration evaluations are typically coordinated with your lawyer & are provided in-person at my office in Walker, Michigan or via telehealth for individuals across Michigan.

To schedule an immigration evaluation with a member of Mendez CAPS' team or with Rooted Immigrant Support Services, please visit Mendez CAPS or Rooted Immigrant Support Services websites.
