Individual Play-Based Therapy (ages 4-10)

For young children, play is the language of healing. In a child-centered play therapy approach, children are trusted to be the experts on themselves as they heal through play. I also use Sandtray-Worldplay to help clients of all ages process trauma.

Child-centered play is most commonly used with children up to 10. However, play therapy techniques can be used for healing at any age.

I am currently pursuing my Registered Play Therapist credential and I practice under the supervision of a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor.

Therapy sessions take place at Heartstone Guidance Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Individual Talk Therapy

For adolescents and adults, I provide individual talk-based therapy. In-person therapy is available for all ages, and telehealth therapy for ages 14+.

I believe that the person in front of me is the true expert on themselves and their stories, and view my role as a collaborator. My approach is grounded in a Person-Centered approach, with elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Radical Feminist Theory, and Mindfulness-based approaches. I also often use Sandtray Worldplay with clients of all ages to help process trauma.

Therapy sessions take place at Heartstone Guidance Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan or via telehealth.
